Samsung's New Odyssey Monitors Have Its Gaming Hub And Smart Platform Built In

We're starting to see Samsung's Game Center appear on more TVs and monitors after the company started rolling out the feature recently. Its new Odyssey gaming monitors are the latest models to include a feature that allows quick access to various cloud gaming services. In fact, the Odyssey G70B and G65B are the company's first monitors with an integrated game center and smart platform.

Samsung says the displays offer a way to create a home office environment without carrying a computer. They are compatible with Samsung DeX and can access Microsoft 365 cloud services. You can also mirror your smartphone to screens and stream Netflix and Amazon Prime shows and movies. Both monitors have remote voice microphone and voice assistant functions.

The G70B will be available in 28-inch and 32-inch sizes. It has a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, Ultra HD resolution and a smooth IPS display. It is certified NVIDIA G-Sync compatible and supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The G65B also features FreeSync Premium Pro to accompany its curved QHD display. It will have 27 and 32 inch versions, 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. Both monitors include Samsung's Game Bar, which offers features like a zoom mode and easy access to YouTube tutorials for any part of the game you're struggling with.

Samsung says the giant Odyssey Ark monitor also includes a Gaming Hub. You'll be able to stream games from Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce Now, Google Stadia, Utomik, and Amazon Luna (the latter of which is only available in the US) without any additional hardware other than a supported controller. The 55-inch rotating curved screen lets you watch three different programs and inputs at the same time, so you can stream the game while watching YouTube.

Starting at $3,500, the Odyssey Ark is now available for pre-order. Samsung will begin offering the G70B and G65B later this year. If you're at Gamescom, you can check out the displays in person at the Samsung booth.
