The modern Apple Watch 8 has several health features including an optical heart sensor, an ECG, a blood oxygen sensor, and a new body temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is offered as a women's health tool to more accurately track ovulation and other changes in a woman's menstrual cycle. (In light of growing data privacy concerns about period tracking information, Apple has assured customers that their data is protected and encrypted.)
